Getting Started
10DLC Registration

AllTalk Support : Initial 10DLC registration

Understand 10DLC Requirements

  • What is 10DLC?
10DLC is a system mandated by U.S. carriers for Application-to-Person (A2P) messaging using local 10-digit numbers. It ensures higher deliverability, reduces spam, and requires registration of your Brand and Campaign with The Campaign Registry (TCR).

  • Why it matters for AllTalk:

Unregistered numbers will be blocked by carriers starting February 2025. Compliance protects AllTalk’s SMS campaigns and avoids fines

Step 1: Prepare Business & Compliance Details

  • Legal Business Name and DBA (Use the same name for both the way it appears on EIN letter).

  • EIN/Tax ID and Business Type (Insurance)

  • Website URL - This will be created by AllTalk and submitted automatically to the carrier for review. This takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour.

  • Contact Email & Phone.

  • Messaging Use Case description and sample messages - (Mixed use case)

  • Opt-in/Opt-out language (HELP/STOP keywords must be configured or use default settings).

Step 2: Fix Compliance Issues Before Submission

Telnyx flagged these common issues for AllTalk:

  • Privacy Policy: Include carrier-required language for SMS opt-in data handling.

  • Opt-In Form: Add clear disclaimer for marketing messages (Or use default).

Step 3: Register Brand via AllTalk.

  • Brand registration and verification will take 24-72 hours depending on the status from the carrier.

  • Once the brand is accepted, then you can create a campaign.

Step 4: Register Campaign

  • Define use case (e.g., marketing, notifications).

  • Provide:

  • Campaign Details: Provide detailed message flow and compliance notes (Or use default).

  • Confirmation Messages: Configure HELP/STOP responses correctly (Or use default).

  • Ensure campaign description matches actual message flow.

Step 5: Assign Numbers

  • Do not create phone numbers until the campaign is fully verified

  • Avoid reusing deleted numbers (AllTalk plans to implement restrictions to prevent accidental re-acquisition).

  • Step 6: Set Stop Triggers

    • There are default stop triggers: Stop, Stopall, Unsubscribe, Cancel, End, Quit, Stop All

    • Set manual stop triggers based on user’s campaign and prospecting message.

Step 7: Maintain Compliance

  • Keep /privacy and /terms pages live and updated.

  • Retain consent records (AllTalk uses Jornaya/TrustedForm for verification).

  • Update campaign details if messaging changes.
